I really want to find a simple art software; what does the community recommend

I wouldn’t say photoshop is the best at pixel art. or the best at not draining your wallet :stuck_out_tongue:

I highly, highly recommend Aseprite if you are doing pixel art and can afford the one-time fee. It’s very good and there are a ton of tutorials on it. Photoshop is amazing at most things too, but it’s super expensive and on a subscription.

You can also get aseprite for free if you build it from source following the instructions on their official GitHub page.

For simple art you can use Photoshop but for pixel art you need to use aseprite, also libresprite is a free software, its like aseprite, and Photopea is a free software like Photoshop
