Dialogic portrait not appearing *anywhere*

hi, I’m trying to make a visual novel with Dialogic, but when I put a portrait, it just wont show up- not even in preview. I really don’t know how to fix this, and have not found any answers on the forum, so any help/advice is amazing!!
