Hello, it’s been a while.
I took some months off from making my first 3D horror game as it became over ambitious. Willing to start again but taking it slow.
In the mean time, I’ve been pondering about making another 2D game but I’m not sure if people are actually still interested in that section. Perhaps it’s outdated?
Yeah every types of games are interested by different people. Example - 2d games, 3d indie games, psx horror games, AAA realistic games, old-style classic games, 2d platformer, etc.
And I think the topic should fit in “General” category.

Agreed with @keithjones , dimension is not matter, the actual thing is the game itself
Do you know terraria? Which has over 50 millions copies, its similar to minecraft, but 2d.
Brotato, made with Godot has over 1 million solds, it`s not less.
