I made a free, experimental Godot 4.7.2 editor plugin to surface UI layout risks before a Japanese translation exists.
In the editor, it temporarily substitutes eight Japanese menu and error strings into Labels, Buttons and LineEdits in the open scene (or all text-format scenes). The report flags hidden Label lines and large minimum-width changes for visual review. The download also includes 100 original Japanese game UI phrases for manual testing.
This is AI-assisted code and text, smoke-tested headlessly on macOS. It does not check missing glyphs, exact Japanese line breaks, runtime-generated UI, or exported builds. The warnings are review prompts, not proof of bugs.
If you have a UI-heavy project, I would value a test in the visual editor: what control or scene pattern does it miss, and on which Godot and OS version?
