I’m working on a game for the GMTK Game Jam 2026 called Cash n’ Grab. It’s a Hotline Miami Roguelike where you speedrun through a bank with your bag of cash, but if you drop too much cash, you lose. It’s a work in progress that I’d really like feedback on. You can play it here:
Yes I know the link name is dumb, see this game for context, basically I speedran the game jam and now my game is the most popular game submitted to the jam
I had quick go, but it controlling a character it’s a bit like random. Maybe you could add crosshairs and reduce teleports.
Also enemies fire through a wall when they are close.
Cool!
Maybe you can make it move toward where you’re aiming?
At first I thought you have to shoot the wall to move

I did exactly same, but it was bit like what is going on randomly found character behind enemies
Teleports? That’s not really something I’ve had an issue with. This was the first time that I’ve tried doing acceleration and friction in movement without the help of a tutorial so there’s been some jank there, but I’ll try to refine that further. I do want to add a crosshair sprite for the mouse because I have noticed it’s a bit hard to see where it is in the decoration.
The reason I kept movement and look direction separate was because I was trying to mimic the twin stick shooter genre.
That was the premise of a game jam game that never got created because I got to busy a :/
