Question
Hello guys! So, I woke up today to work on my game project, and when I opened Godot everything was looking slightly smaller and blurred.
Weirdly enough, this only happens in Godot. Other softwares are working just fine.
I did some research and found out someone with a similar problem. Apparently it had something to do with DPI and using more than one monitor/screen at the same time.
I am used to have my video cardboard connected to both my monitor and TV screen, so I thought that could be the problem.
But after unplugging the tv HDMI cable and restarting my pc, the problem didn’t go away.
Then, I decided to try all possible windows high DPI configurations in the Godot file. Tried to override the DPI scaling to “Application” or the other options avaliable, but nothing there worked.
Basically, what I’ve tried so far:
- Keeping only one monitor connected to my computer.
- All Windows high DPI configurations that I could find, always closing Godot and opening it again to test it.
- Update video drivers.
- Turn computer off and on again (a few times).
- Open Godot as administrator.
- Check screen scale and resolution, everything seens fine.
- Uninstall Godot and install again.
- Change display scale and custom display scale in the Godot editor settings.
- Set my Nvidia FXAA config to “Application Controlled”.
Also, one thing that I noticed is that when I open the editor, it starts opening normally, like this:
But then, in less than a second, it turns a little bit smaller and blurry, like this:
I’ve tried to just get used to the blur, but found out that trying to write tons of lines of code with a blurry text is pretty awful.
I have been learning and using Godot for years now, I don’t want to give up on it just because of something like this.
I don’t know what else to do to try to fix the issue, so please, if anyone knows how to fix it, I would appreciate the help a lot.

Edit: Forgot to say that when I try to change the editor settings, the editor frequently shuts down on it’s own.
