Godot graphics limits

Godot Version

4.2.1

Question

Hello! I am thinking about graphics in godot, especially about their limits. I saw in demos what graphics can be achieved, but I don’t got answer about what is actually limit of graphics quality in godot, can it compete with source 2 or even unreal 4?

Depends on how you make your game, sounds like you’ve seen some cool demos! There isn’t a uniform way to determine graphical quality, a Godot project starts with a lot of generic post-processing disabled so the editor may run on low-end devices. There are plenty of modern features we see in games like temporal anti-aliasing, global illumination, and FSR, other settings may be found in the WorldEnvironment node, and of course writing your own shaders if need be.

Can it compete? Absolutely, the engine is only half the battle it’s also how you use it.
