How can i use tilemaplayer to create the ground for a turnbased rpg

i can’t figure out how to use tilemaplayer to make the world for my turnbased rpg please someone explain how it works because it makes no sense to me and what i did with tile map doesn’t work with tilemaplayer also can anyone tell me why TileMap was depreciated i just got used to it and now if i want modern features i can’t use it why?

It’s very similar to TileMap, is there anything in particular that doesn’t make sense in the transition?

yes collisions and physics they i can’t figure out how to get it to act like land

You will need to add a physics layer to the tileset.
