How do I overlay baked animations over IK?

I’ve seen many FPS systems online on a bunch of different engines, some of them even implement IK to position the hands onto the weapon. My question is, how do they overlay an animation onto those new IK hand positions, for example a reload animation?

This is a pretty vague question to feel free to ask for more details.

IK is overlaid over the animation. All Godot’s skeleton modifier nodes, including the ik modifier, have the influence property for blending-in the modifier results.

The influence property only lets you choose one or the other/mix them. That’s not what im looking for unfortunately.
