Question
I wanna fade the highlighted edges of this point light 2d.
I found I needed use the shape with faded edged to do that. There are probably other ways though. I use variations on this:
i mean the parts i made yellow in the drawing i want to be faded
What shape or image are you using for the point light?
a circle. its basically just the one u sent. i want to make it so the blocked edges are more faded andf i found there is a way to do that but it isnt so clear for tilemaps
The Filter and Filter Smooth properties on your Point Light2D can be used to soften the shadow edges (though it’s not as dramatic as I’d like)
I’ve had to mess with the images I use in gimp to get the lighting just right. It’s a slow and annoying process.
