How to get compability colors to look the same as mobile?

It’s unfortunate that this forum closes answered topics, like this one.

I have the same question, but the proposed solution doesn’t work for unshaded materials, and the pull request mentioned in that thread was closed.

So what solution do people have to work around this today?

For me, the differences are quite severe:


(Also, just noticed that the material preview thumbnail has a third completely wrong color in compability mode.)
