I don’t know if this counts as a godot question, but I was trying to use some basic animations from mixamo for a project, and i have no idea how to use animations. I think this should work but I’m sure, and the godot plug in for mixamo animations doesn’t work for me.
It says that glb/gltf are the preferred files for this but i think fbx files might be better as people have been have some bad experiences with animation in glb files
please avoid saying things like “it doesn’t work”. which plugin? what doesn’t work? what did you do? what were you expecting? where did it fail?
no one can help you if you don’t explain yourself.
where did you hear that? please I would like to see it.
I’ve never had any problems with glb, I did have A LOT of problems with the FBX format, which I would say it’s obsolete or on its way to.
GLB was designed with games in mind and allowing anyone to use it, FBX was designed with autocad in mind and is a closed format owned by autodesk and with different versions, and it packs a bunch of useless stuff and always has scale issues and bone issues, specially with blender.
