Is AI content against the forum guidelines ( please a clear yes or no )?

A high quality posting of mine has been flagged solely on the reasoning it used clearly markes AI content, now i want to know is it against the community rules or not, i dont find a clear answer in the rules.

If someone wants to generate an AI answer, they can do that themselves. People come to the forums to ask help from human beings. Not AI.

And it’s not a yes or no question. If you used AI to translate someting because English is not your first language, then it’s fine.

However, just letting AI write the entire answer for you, and you copy paste that in, then most users will not be happy with it, since they could’ve done the same themselves to get an answer to their questions from any number of AI tools out there. But they specifically choose to come to the forums for help.

Please just use a proper translation tool instead, it’s far better and doesn’t hallucinate things into your message

I understand your personal feelings, but for me this is gatekeeping too: The community should only write in a certain way because some people like it that way.

That is why i want to know: Am i in the right when i write my posts as i like or are you in the right when you feel oh no i dislike reading if the AI write something.

This is why i want to know the exact rules, was it ever finally decided?

Both, just because you like using “AI” doesn’t mean others have to, you don’t get to dictate what others feel

Right but the question is: Is it okay when my posts get flagged for being ai, is it against the community rules?

Please refer to this answer:

Right but that is a community answer from whoever, it needs to be code of conduct to really be legit, the poster might just have changed his mind in the meantime too, however thankyou for the forward leading answer :+1:

@winston-yallow is a Forum Admin, so it’s not coming from “whoever”. It’s hard to have Code of Conduct, or Rules mention every specific case and word that is or is not allowed, so there always will be gray zone. This reply should have answered your specific question though.

Why would you want to post an AI generated reply to someone’s question?

Yes i understand what you are getting at, but essentially i ask what kind of community is here, what are the official rules, to what standards should i hold the moderation and that means to really answer me that needs an official rule and not a thread statement about how the moderation acts.

If you compare it to a state:

You answer how judges would act, i want to know what the law is and if the judge misjudges.

That being said the question was asked multiple times and i think it should be clearly answered in the code of conduct.

My previous reply gives a clear answer to all your questions posted so far in this thread. If you have any further issues regarding the Godot CoC, feel free to contact the CoC team Code of Conduct – Godot Engine
