Question
Hi, I'm making a Minecraft-style game and therefore I need a few models for items. I tried blockbench but the UV map didn't really work, and I don't want to use blender, so does anybody have any suggestions? PS I saw one in a YT video once but i forgot what it was :P
why don’t you want to use blender?
it’s the most popular in 3d game dev
I agree, and I did use blender for my block model because of the UV customizability, but for item models which have many small cubes, It wouldn’t be the best tool
i never had experience with 3d modeling, but blockbench looks like the best option
ask the community about the UV map problem they might help you
Some alternatives:
You can buy the source version of this and then edit to your heart’s content. Drawbacks are they’re not voxel if that’s what you want, and the source files are blender files.
You could also use this or the Deluxe version (which just has more blocks) if you really don’t want to use blender. I haven’t used this, but I’ve never had any import issues with Kenney’s assets.

Thanks but I was looking for something free

You probably could use something like voxel art to make it. I think most allow you to export to obj files and they are pretty easy to use, so it’d be a good alternative to blender.

Thanks
After learning a new tool in blender, I eventually went with it.
