So,
Announcement post
I have decided to start a devlog on this forum, as many must understand, it is a daunting step starting sharing your game creation and progression. However, after reading many of your devlogs and following the progress you make on your games, motivated me to reach this steps.
Game title: Mr Infinity’s Journey (might change? I want to add A space odyssey, will see)
Game pitch (for now, and for you – the story is more likely going to adapt as the world is evolving)
Mr Infinity wakes up one morning and realised his brother went missing. No notes and no track or clues. He decides to go on a space journey to understand what happened and to find him. Through his exploration, he will discover worlds never known before, and powers that were long forgotten in his lineage. Colourful with hand-drawn graphics and eerie music, his journey is a magical wander in space wonders.
Mr Infinity’s Journey, is a 2D platformer. Exploring worlds with wealth of different enemies.

Current status
The game is in its very early stages, however
- The main character’s mechanic is created, and is working well
- Enemies mechanic is implemented to be able to expand to many types
- World mechanic is done, ready to be expanded
- First graphics idea done
A little background
- I have started this project a few years back, on Godot 3.x, and gave up, life was busy.
- Got back on it a couple of years ago, on Godot 4, gave up again, life was busy.
- Decided to do it again, and motivation is there, life is still busy, but settled
Next developments
In a non chronological order
- Code and design 2 more enemies for the 1st world
- Create and code animated “grass” and other artefacts to make the world richer
- Develop some camera animations and sequences to new surroundings/enemies
- Code and design 2 more powers for Mr Infinity
- Re-design 1st world tilemap, (tile set and map), including a tutorial part
- Designing a spaceship (I’m bad at that, but will make it happen)
- Convert Tilemap to Tilelayers (new to Godot 4.4) – but still work as is
- Improve Load/Save code
- Sound effect (my worst nightmare)
- Music and ambience (looking forward to doing it)
- And more
- Making it as an Android export
I will try to share some snippets of the current status, and will try to update this devlog regularly. I don’t set myself any unrealistic deadlines, or recurrence of posting.
Thanks for reading!
