So I started back working on my game, the main issue was there was no planning. So I started planning my game again. Development has gone way faster. Here is are some sprites

I am amazed how I havent started planning sooner

Just like the rest of us, it won’t be the last time :slight_smile: But yeah, what you can plan in ten minutes can sometimes avoid days of work in the future.

I just implimented settings

It’s quite cute, the level music does a lot to convey a playful, slightly manic vibe. I find the intro song pretty grating, though maybe that’s intentional :slight_smile:

My notes in no particular order:

  • Game is a bit too loud, compare the volume to a loud album or game and adjust accordingly
  • Going off the edge = fall forever - I’d expect a lose state and (a way to) reset. Currently it seems the game has to be closed and restarted to try again. High priority, you’ll need this for testing as well.
  • Controls need explaining in-game
    • If ASDW is for debug only, don’t include it in playable builds
  • Camera angle is quite low and distant, meaning that there’s a lot of empty space at the bottom of the screen. Maybe raise it and get it closer to the character, to have better overview, control and less wasted screen space.
  • I didn’t find the settings you mentioned - another control that needs explaining
  • The two-way camera system isn’t bad, but it is a little hard to know when to change views - in time you might consider making it automatically change with where the player is in the level. Of course that means more level design and more to test.
