But where is the export settings
From where we are working, project > export settings tab. And @gertkeno said to disabled âEmbed PCKâ from the export preset like âWindowsâ, in export settings.
still canât find it is it in project settings?
Itâs in Project > Export, the export menu you must be in to export the game. Select your window export and disable âEmbed PCKâ
it was already off
but before when you asked if it was a exe file it is
Cool, then you will need to get your own code signature from microsoft to solve the warning.
If you game doesnât work âin the same folderâ then you probably moved the executable (.exe
) away from itâs packed content files (.pck
) so it canât find any of itâs required data.
but then how do I open the game?
You could always open the game by clicking âmore infoâ then ârun anywaysâ, but to get rid of the warning you have to get your own code signature from microsoft.
How do you?
This warning shows up because the app isnât codesigned. You can purchase a codesigning certificate, but itâs much more expensive than publishing on Steam which bypasses codesigning warnings. Publishing to Steam costs $100 (which is refunded after your project generates $1,500 of sales), while a codesigning certificate is easily $500 per year.
