Particles look too spaced when moving in Godot 4

Question

So I got this CPUparticles for the ball but when the ball startis hitting walls and things the particles change from this to this:
When the game starts:

After a few hits on the walls:

I’'ve tried changing the amount the speed scale and the lifetime but is still not working, any idea??

is the ball moving faster? Do you have any code controlling this node?

Try converting it to GPUParticles, and see it changes the behavior. CPUParticles are deprecated, and won’t be receiving any updates or upgrades, so it’s possible there has been a subtle behavior change.

Really? I didn’t know that.

I checked the docs and could not see any deprecation notices. Are you sure these are deprecated?

EDIT:
I found a comment here about no new features for CPU particles, but deprecation is not mentioned as far as I can see.
