Played Shinobi : Art of Vengeance and now I need dynamic rim lights…
It’s not quite polished yet… Spine’s kind of tricky for it! But it’s on it’s way.
Cozy Chaos!

Oi! How? Normal maps?
I think you can 100% use normal maps. Actually, I might try again… but when I did, I couldn’t get the lighting to work properly. Maybe I just need to tweak the maps a bit.
Atm, I’m trying to make a shader that lets you control the hue and thickness of a soft and hard rim light.
Buuuut - I’m working on passing the global position of the player into the shader, as well as any nearby lights into an array; and then have the opacity / direction of the light change based on that.
New animations! Here’s two of of them:
New movement tech! : Throwables - grab and throw items to stack an extra jump. But ignore the placeholder art ![]()
On the moment, it reminded me Viewtiful Joe ^^ Really fun. I’m looking forward to see the final release of that adventure.
Your art and animation skills are nuts! As a programmer with no skills in anything else, I can’t imagine how I could create these animations.
Thanks! Appreciate it TheKrel_Company!
Thanks man! You’re saying it like you don’t have an eye for making art though!
Your art style and the game’s map reminds of a cartoon named Dragon Hunters I used to watch!
And as @ComicallyUnfunny said your art style and skills are cool af!
Huge compliment! Thanks Frozen!
I still have a ways to go before it looks worth buying, but that’s super motivating!
On the itch page, what does this say?
The name in that’s pending (it’s the academy PiN’s from) but it’s meant to be a language you can’t read. Kind of like:
And speaking of rim lights:
Why it looks like a tv show? Getting soo good that ppl may start making story telling when released, like minecraft!
Haha thanks
! Got lots of lore and character bios ready. If I ever get round to it, I may add codec collectibles like this:
(But I’d want them to be holographic)
The game looks fire Even though I haven’t played it, there’s one odd thing, the speed lines. They look a bit weird, like the camera is inside a monster’s mouth and those are its teeth.
Not sure if you’ve fixed it yet, but if not, could you make them a little lighter? : )
