i’m sorry if this is too general of a question, i really have nowhere else to go to ask this,


I’m an experienced artist with very, very little coding knowledge. I desperately want to make a point and click like this game, where there are rooms and layers of 2d art and 2d character sprites. I know 2.5d is possible, but I just haven’t found a single tutorial that deals with this specific side scrolling and angle, and technique. I’ve only seen 3d platformers or an octopath traveler style game tutorials, i really need some help here just on finding a resource or finding a good place to start, i have searched all over the forum and the Subreddit which led me to those tutorials, and i haven’t found anything. The people who made this game used Unreal Engine, but i dont want unreal to eat up my storage, so I’m using gadot.

all you need to do is caulk the camera to another angle, and maybe not use the orthographic camera.

This is also for godot 3, but it shouldn’t be too hard to translate it yourself to godot 4.

do you know how i could make a room box like area for each room? thats what i mostly need help with, cause all of the tutorials are in open space
