Problem with importing mixamo animations to godot, chatgpt can't find a solution

Godot Version

4.5

Question

I've downloaded an animation from godot with skin to blender, but when I import it from blender to godot as a glb file I get a really weird bug where the armature is the correct size, while the mesh is minuscule, and laid flat (presumably rotated by 90 on the x-axis

I’ve tried doing stuff on blender with ctrl+a like applying transform to deltas but it doesn’t seem to work. I’m sure many people use mixamo with godot but I don’t know what I could possibly have done wrong

So first off, I wouldn’t advertise you used ChatGPT to try and find a solution. It’s probably why you haven’t gotten a response yet. And second, if you used ChatGPT to get this far, it probably lied to you multiple times. For instance as far as I know you cannot use Mixamo with a .glb file.

I recommend you find one of the many YouTube tutorials out there on how to get a model from Mixamo into Godot. Hint: There is no Blender step.

NOTE: Don’t use ChatGPT to learn how to use Godot. It doesn’t know how, and it will confidently lie to you instead of telling you it doesn’t know how to help. Which will lead you into ever more complex problems where the solution is to go back 6 steps and not do what it said.

How much detail would you like?

Due to 4.6, I’ve just done a full re-rig and re-anim of all of my characters (different species, so they are varied in size/shape), and migrated from my prior animset to mostly Mixamo, so I can help a little.
