Godot Version
v4.3
Question
I’m looking for resources on how I’d make 3D levels for Godot. I saw there was TrenchBroom and a plugin for Godot that makes it able to import levels made by it into Godot, however it was not the exact level of detail I wanted. I was looking for something close to it, but with bumpy terrain (something like with Half-Life 2’s coast levels,) I see you’re supposed to use Blender for that? What would I search for to learn about that, or go to? I skimmed through on the documentation, and searched on YouTube where I ended up empty handed.
I did read a Reddit post where it only explained to just model out the terrain and buildings as one whole mesh, then have reusable models such as props separate from it when importing into Godot. Surely that’s a REALLY bad method and will lead to performance issues if the map is one giant mesh, right?
I’m new here, so I don’t know if I’m wording this poorly, apologies if so.
