Godot 4.7.2
ScrollContainer fails to scroll on Android when “Emulate Mouse From Touch” is unchecked.
I have created a project with all settings to default, added the Android export, and a single scene with
ScrollContainer → VBoxContainer → +50 Labels
I have used the “Deploy with Remote Debug”, then “Remove Deploy”, then a physical phone.
The ScrollContainer only scrolls when “Emulate Mouse From Touch” is checked.
If unckecked, the scrollbar appears correctly, but any attempts to scroll fail. The ScrollContainer is frozen.
I have attached the following script to the scene…
func _ready()
%ScrollContainer.scroll_started.connect(_on_scroll_started)
%ScrollContainer.scroll_ended.connect(_on_scroll_ended)
func _on_scroll_started() -> void:
print("SCROLL STARTED")
func _on_scroll_ended() -> void:
print(""SCROLL ENDED")
… and, indeed, nothing is printed.
I would like to understand why.
Is this intended? Is it a bug? Why does Android need “Mouse From Touch” checked for this specific type of control to work properly?
Thank you all.
