I will often create a script with a class_name in order to create a new node type. That node type will require some child nodes so it really needs a configured scene so I create a new .tscn of the given type, and configure the defaults and requirements. When using this as a component you drag and drop the .tscn file in wherever you want.
However, I find the ctrl+a shortcut a lot more handy as I don’t need to go digging through the file browser to find my .tscn I can just ctrl+a, tap tap tap enter. Problem is this only adds the base node type so I then need to reconfigure the whole thing even though I already did and saved it as a .tscn.
Is there a keystroke for adding a scene instead of a node?
