Sun going through the wall

Good day, I am having this issue with the sun going through the walls. Here is an example of a default cube from Blender, that just was scaled up and only ground normal was flipped. As u can see the sun is shining through the wall, is there any way to fix this? or is it fixed only by making each wall separate and scaling up so they cross each other
