Use Alt + Drag (Mouse) to orbit (Editor Settings)

Godot Version

v4.3.stable.official [77dcf97d8]

Question

Hi. I am pretty new to godot and I am still setting up my workspace.
I want to use the exact same navigation controls for godot as I have for blender. Otherwise I mix things up. I am on macOS and use a magic mouse.

I managed to change the zooming (by removing the Zoom Modifier Key setting it to Any). Pan is already the same (Shift + scroll).

Now the only thing left is the orbiting.
For that I want to use the alt key and then click + drag to orbit around my scene in 3D. Does anybody know how to set this in my Editor Settings?

Thanks a lot.

That is not supported, I would recommend using middle mouse button to orbit as both blender and godot use that. I looked up the mouse and it doesnt seem to have a middle button. Either way, I would recommend you switch to any other mouse, as that will likely have a middle button and a better hand position.

Ok thank you. Still that would be nice feature to have in the future to able to customize all those settings :).

Just a tip, you can hold right mouse or press shift + f to enter fp mode in which you can move in the editor by using WASD and EQ.

You can pull an issue in Godot Improvement Proposals (GIPs) which means you are proposing a feature to Godot GitHub.
