hi, im karshaper

im a 2d/3d artist, animator, musician and game dev in the US. i dont do anything for work, just for fun. you can find my stuff on newgrounds and youtube under the same name.

i started using godot in around early 2024 while looking for a more advanced engine to move on from gdevelop 5, and i landed on godot. ive gotten very comfortable with using it, i just had to watch a couple tutorials, look things up, and read the docs here and there.

i would love to share progress on my game(s) and check out the forum posts here

Hello! Professional Jazz/neo soul singer here with a dream: I want to sing a song for a videogame! It’s a childhood dream and I do not charge for it, let’s just make sure my voice fits the vibe of the project.

Feel free to dm me people.

Good evening/afternoon!
I am new to game development and I wanted to try my hand at creating a 3D game. I have background in computer programming so I have an idea on how to set up for the programming language but I want to get started on navigation of the engine and utilization. Is there anything I can look into for starters to get my foot in the water. I am very determined and want to see what I am capable of in this ever growing industry! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The documentation is a good starting point, specifically the 2D and 3D starter projects.

You’re probably better off posting a new thread with your offer, as this is a thread for saying hi and most people probably only ever visit it once.

Hello, from the USA. I am new to game development and look forward to learning something new. Currently work as a .NET (C#) software developer for businesses. My son has gotten interested in game development using Clickteam Fusion after taking some classes. So, hopefully we will learn Godot together to take his game development to the next level.

Hi All, I seriously can’t believe I’m starting developing games. They’ve been part of my life since I can remember. Excited to see what comes out of my head!

Hi Y’all, I’m FreeNotFree from FreeNotFree Studios in Alabama, and I’ve started the early development of my most recent attempt at game making on the new Godot 4.7. I will be on here quite a bit through my journey asking questions. I am a one-person team that does graphics, music production (the main reason for FreeNotFree Studios), and the programming.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! I started playing with making games back when QBasic was still accessible in the 90s, C++ and Game Maker Studio in the 2000s. Now, I have decided to make my dreams come true and rediscover the pains and joys of programming games.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hey folks! I’m the creator and maintainer of a couple of plugins, Aseprite Wizard and Clyde Dialogue. I also released a game some time ago called Far Star.

I’m really bad at keeping up with social networks and not very fond of fenced communities like Discord, so you likely haven’t seen me outside my own issue trackers. I’m mostly a lurker and not a poster, but still not sure why it took me so long to create an account here given I’ve been playing with Godot since version 2 and love this community.

From now on I intend to keep an eye here for any questions related to the projects I keep and likely ask some of my own :D. See you around!

Hi everyone — I’m de, working on Slacking Games. We run an English-language browser-game portal focused on quick, low-pressure breaks, publishing and curating playable HTML5 games while keeping creator attribution clear.

I joined to learn more about Godot and how creators approach lightweight web-game builds and distribution. I’m also happy to share useful observations from the portal and curation side when they are relevant.

Site: https://slackinggames.com/

Looking forward to learning from the community.

I’m hosting this free (somewhat) lightweight webgame on codeberg:

(Only 3 minutes of gameplay)

To keep the package size as small as possible I needed to compile my own custom template (a well documented process), but also compile I a feature that is not in the official Godot releases yet: msaa antialiasing for 2D in the OpenGL compatibility mode.

Send me a message via the forum if you want to know more (not an expert game dev, but wanting to help make webgame dev with Godot easier).

I also have some experience releasing to itch with butler. It’s been a while though.
