I’m just starting out with absolutely zero understanding of anything Godot can do or, any vocabulary in the game making scene.
I’m watching tutorials and multiple people have said that I should work toward using “Documentation” to create as I go, and to only watch tutorials when i don’t know a concept entirely. I don’t understand what Documentation means in this context, and could use a breakdown of the concept.
I Did search it first and I was just getting Design docs, like what you would do to pre plan parts of a game. I could not find whatever Docs were for Godot itself.
“Software documentation is written text or illustration that accompanies computer software or is embedded in the source code. The documentation either explains how the software operates or how to use it, and may mean different things to people in different roles.”
bro, someone is coming to Godot with literally no prior experience, probably never having done any programming or used any complicated software that required documentation or anything. They clearly said the concept of documentation is new to them, there is absolutely no need to act like such an ass. If you don’t have the patience to help people at this stage, then you have the option to be doing literally anything else with your time.
I was replying to megamodels, who replied in a misleading way (“Documentation is usually that thing a judge reads when condemning someone”, implying that Documentation is the wrong word to use here). I think I’m helping a lot, and also I’m not being an ass.
