Why would one string crash the engine but another does not?

Ah, before i forget, if you’re using a TextureRect in your scene that makes the crash happens, pay attention to that:

If that’s the case, this bug is already known and the workaround is not use the modes cited in the image.

That was it! That was the problem which I imagine was fired when the size changed for different sized label causing the texture to resize causing the label to resize etc.

Thank you again. I have spent the day rebuilding the upgrade cards now in a different way. They are actually much better this time around so it all ended well I suppose :slight_smile:
