We’ve fixed some issues with the Gamepad and added a quick info screen to show all the inputs!
Give it another try and let us know if you run into any other issues. Your feedback really helps!

The game is slowly coming together…
I’m trying to get it ready for mobile as fast as I can

Devlog#3
Hey everyone!
We’ve just uploaded a 2.5-minute gameplay video of Project 4W – it’s still in development, but we wanted to share the progress!
Try the demo and let us know what you think!
Disclaimer : I’m far from being a ‘gamer’ (just turned 76…).
Intrigued, however, I didn’t get far. Too dark to see what’s happening, and the game-pad controls (yes, I have a game-pad..!) were very ‘flaky’ (didn’t do what I expected…). Keyboard worked, but, without any on-screen assistance, no real idea of what to do (hold down, not just ‘pick up’…). Nice try; no cigar. I might try again the v.2 if it gets updated. Well done for getting something ‘out there’, though.
Nice work so far . I can see the vision. It has a nice retro charm to it.
Quick suggestions from me:
The camera may need to be set offset at all times. Its quite a rapid-transition from idle to when it looks ahead. Or you could slow down the camera speed; but that might get in the way of gameplay. or, maybe the camera position when you’re idle is half-way forward.
Might need to change the bind from Esc to something else as it snaps you out of full screen on itch.
Pressing E - Id personally speed the progress bar up. Unless you have a specific vision for how lengthy it is, it feels longer than it needs to be.
Thank you so much for taking the time to try out my game.
You’re absolutely right about the darkness – I’ll definitely work on improving the brightness so everything is clearer.
I also realized I didn’t set up the gamepad controls properly – I’ll make sure they’re smooth and responsive in the next update.
I’ll also add a short tutorial at the beginning of the game so everyone knows what to do.
In the next version, I’ll fix all the issues you mentioned. I’d really love it if you could give it another try once I upload the new version and share your thoughts with me.
Be sure to check the Devlog section for future updates.
It is an interesting game but the view snapping back to the middle is a negative in my opinion.
At the very least it is going to take some time to get used to.
The controls are a bit of a learning curve. Thanks for the intro help on that but I forgot lots of them in my first run.
Another way to introduce them is a short tutorial section that guides you through the keys without the stress of gameplay.
All in all though I would say you are tracking well with this game.
Hey !
thank you for playing the game ,it’s a good idea .. in next update i will change it to the tutorial level to get familiar with game and mechanics..
Thanks again for your feedback !
Coming along nicely. My only gripe with the footage is the camera still feels a bit too snappy. Try using lerp? It could bridge the gap between what you want and what players will feel comfortable using
