3D character model and texture adding?

Question

Im using an imported 3D character model and it’s a type Node3D, how can I apply my skin texture to it? Here’s a screenshot of what im working with criminalMale.png is the texture im trying to add to the characterMedium.fbx.

right click the instantiated character model “characterMedium” and turn on “Editable children” from there you can apply a new material override to the mesh instance(s)
