AnimatedSprite3D not appearing on mobile vulkan renderer

Hello,

I have an AnimatedSprite3D flame effect that shows up fine on PC but appears only as a magenta quad on mobile. I have tried reimporting the image in lossless mode without compression and recreating the sprite and all the assets using it but the image still didnt show up. I have made sure that it was updated because i changed the scale of the sprite. The image is a .png 512 × 512 pixels with 5w × 4h frames.

Is there some trick or is it easier just to write my own shader for the job?
