ArrayMesh (tool script) crashing the editor

Hello!

I am not looking to fix specific code; this is more of a general question. In a few projects in the last year or so I have created large ArrayMeshes. If there are too many vertices or faces added, it will crash the editor either during creation or upon loading the scene file.

I’m wondering if anyone knows why this happens, how to mitigate it, or if you have encountered this as well.
