hello everyone my name is kaan and l wanna learn coding and making characters in ps1/retro style but l don’t know about how to start do anyone have advice for beginner like me ? (ıf my english is bad lm so sorry lm 15 and still trying to learn english)

If you are just learning coding and making games starting with a simple game is a good way to start. Trying to start with making a retro style game can come after you learn how to make a character move and jump and be able to do things in godot. The links wchc posted is a good starting point!
thank you mrcook and wchc lm gonna start watching now and l wanna ask something this forum is nice or there is some toxic people ? l search some youtube and instagram videos about some games but l see sometimes bad comments like with broke heart and flower or skull emoji… this community is not that bad right ?

In every community there are good and bad people. (This one is really good!)
On instagram and youtube bad/mean comments are normally near the top because they are sorted by engagement (amount of likes and replys) so you tend to see them more often, but if you see those comments, try to see it as someone just being mean and try to look for information that you yourself think is useful it will help a lot. (most of bad comment either don’t research the topic, or it is just someone being mean)
From my limited experience on this forum I feel that this community is really good at answering question and helping people, you just have to be willing to make an effort on explaining what is wrong in a way that makes it easy to read. (I only joined 3 weeks ago)
