Creating layered music like in Mario Kart Wii

I’m trying to make music that adds an extra layer every time the player progresses into the menus (which, I should note, inflicts a scene change for each different menu), similar to Mario Kart Wii. I’ve heard of something called AudioStreamInteractive, which apparently can help me, but it, along with its partner, AudioStreamSynchronized, doesn’t appear in my node list.

AudioStreamInteractive and AudioStreamSynchronized aren’t nodes. They are resources, that you can assign to your AudioStreamPlayer’s stream property.
