Game not translating label type texts from .po file

Question

It translates buttons and checkboxes fine but seems to ignore labels. I know it’s not because of the language (Spainsh) as I’ve tried Japanese and got the same result. It’s not a font problem either as I tried out language specific fonts too. My only solution is to replace the texts manually with the translated texts which is very tedious and time consuming (bulk of the dialogue are labels). There has to be a better way right?
