Godot Version
4.2.1
Question
Hi all! I need your help with a little annoying problem I have. Godot closes itself randomly after a few minutes when i use it. Sometimes happen, sometimes not.
I am in windows 10 versión 22h2 build 19045.4780. I recently change my hardware and now i have an i9 13900f and a 3090. I start godot from an hdd, and my OS are in a ssd. I dont have any message, any debug… nothing. Godot just closes itself like if i click the X button in the godot window. I think this never happened when I was in my old computer 2 weeks ago, but i dont get it what could be wrong now. My drivers are updated and sometimes when I restart godot run perfectly.
Thanks in advance
This can be a lot of things, what you can do is run a version with debug symbols to try catch a backtrace, also 13 and 14 th intel processors has a known issue that can cause instability and crashes randomly in different applications.
now i hate intel haahahha.
Sorry but what means run with debug symbols?
Thanks
Is upgrading an option? 4.2.2 is a long-term stable release, and 4.3 is out too. If you don’t need 4.2.1 specifically, then upgrading might resolve the issue.
i found it! it is the recording software I use to capture my sessions(Action mirillis):

I need to know now how to fix this… but I’m still searching in google some answers to still recording without problems.
Is recompile the engine with debug symbols so when the crash happens will show the line of code where the crash happen
I didn’t know about that. I will look for that because idk how to do it. Thanks.
For now I need it because I’m in a 8-9 month project
