Question

I added hit boxes to my second character and now my first character floats and hits invisible walls.

Maybe you accidentally moved your first character’s sprite off-center. You would have to share a screenshot of your characters scenes for more help

I get that, could you share a screenshot of your characters scenes? Maybe you could enable Visible Collision Shapes in the debug menu.

How exactly do you make nodes unique?

All nodes are unique. Sounds like you are barking up the wrong tree.

It’s impossible to help if you don’t show us what you have, scripts and scene trees go a long way.

How do stop one Hitbox2d from changing when the oter does.
