How to render shadow at top-down street light

Hi, I am trying to properly set up the lightning for a street lamp in a top-down (oblique projection) 2d game.

Currently it looks like this:

But as you can see this is incorrect as the light is coming from the top but the shadow makes it seem like the light would be coming from the side. How to fix the shadow?
