agreed with you its really beautifully created we can do many thing with this logo redesign for our game and many thing if logo only contains a character, a latter like G its looks so ugly if they change the logo i dont care i would like to use old logo( current logo).

I think there is no obligation to use the original logo. There have been a lot of discussions about adapting the logo, I fear new shitstorms will break out if the logo is changed every year.
I would love to have an animated splash screen with the godot logo (maybe with that godot anime girl mascot interacting with the godot robot mascot).
I have not heard of Redot. They already have a better logo.
Tell me about Redot?
I would but my post would be probably get removed check the thread about the “fork”.
I agree the logo could use a redesign, but I wouldn’t make a complete overhaul like that, I’d keep the robot and just change it slightly to make it look more modern and slick. You’re clearly a very skilled designer, I think if you took your design style and applied it to the robot, it could look more professional while keeping the fun feeling of the current logo. Also, it would probably be easier to convince the people in charge to change it if the change isn’t as radical.
To add my 2c I also think there needs to be a “professional” looking logo. Godot is such an incredible engine now which is pretty close to competing at a AAA level, perhaps there already for AA.
The very qualities that make people like it are the very things that make it not very professional looking. It’s like how comic sans is fine as a font, but just not appropriate for all use cases. The Godot logo font is a bit too close to comic sans for my liking.
Perhaps there could be two types of branding provided, the current one for use by indie games that want to look cutesy, and one for use by games that wish to look serious. I don’t think the OP logos go far enough as they are trying to find a middle ground but still end up looking like an indie game engine logo.
Can you iterate on the one used by GodotBelievers and liked by trizZzle
Just make the right blue part really make the G. Like have a straight edge and maybe a bit more inward.
Also the cog portion should have the same width as the blue part with the cog part extending out.
And as your at it. Make a version where the cog part is on both sides, not just the top.
