Just releases my first game: Cold Pines, a short atmospheric horror game

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

After months of on-and-off development, I’ve finally released my first complete game made in Godot :tada:

Cold Pines is a short, atmospheric horror game inspired by PS1-era visuals and slow-burn tension. It’s completely free on itch.io.

Playtime: about 15–20 minutes Engine: Godot 4 Platform: Windows Vibe: lonely, cold, unsettling

This was a personal learning project for me, and honestly just finishing and shipping it feels like a huge milestone.

I’d really appreciate any feedback, thoughts, or bug reports.

Happy to answer questions about development as well!

Hope you enjoy

Hi, first of all, congrats for releasing your first game. I didn’t played it but I watched one of the videos on the itch page. It looks great, the atmosphere seems perfect for what you tried to achieve here, and +1 for the PS1 aesthetic

Ran out of likes so like this post in about an hour when I get mine back lol.

Fun little experience, the visual style reminds me of Silent Hill 2, which is high praise

It relies pretty heavily on startling the player, rather than frightening them, but I suppose there’s not a lot of time to build tension and story in a 15-minute game.
