NavigationObstacle3D not correctly affecting navmesh

Question

I’m using a NavigationObstacle3D to carve out a static house from the navmesh, but it doesn’t seem to work properly. I have both Affect Navigation Mesh and Carve Navigation Mesh enabled (not 100% sure what the difference is), but still it doesn’t seem to work as well as I’d expect.
