Need help understanding GDScript as a person who used GML

Hello. I used GameMaker: Studio for a long time and I’m so used to it. Though, I want to switch to Godot Engine to make 3D games and have its great benefits.

I’m pretty new to 3D, but I can easily learn that. But how do I know how everything works? I never really learned any language besides GML so I find GDScript slightly picky compared to what I’m used to. So can someone explain the major differences so I can pick up?

And what are the best tutorials should I follow? Especially those made for using GDScript with 3D. Since I found some tutorials already, but quite a few are several years old, and I’m worried about studying outdated or deprecated features.
I’m assuming GDScript is the best language to start with rather than C#.
