No HDR glow against black background

Godot Version



When looking at an overbright object with HDR glow enabled, the glow does not display against blackness. If there is a non-overbright object behind the bright one, or a non-black sky, a glow is visible, but not when the background is dark. Am I misunderstanding how HDR works, or is this a configuration issue or something?

Can you take a screenshot of the issue and post it here?

Also, which rendering method are you using in the project? Is HDR 2D enabled in the Project Settings?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I had managed to incorrectly set the blend mode for glow in the world environment. (Softlight instead of Screen)
