Portable gaming on mobile with gamepad attachment

Godot Version

4.2.2

Question

Hi.
I am new to Godot and using it in school. I am hoping to source some hardware to allow students to play their games made with Godot on a portable device. I had been thinking about some form of console but it seems there may be an issue with this. I am now thinking that it would be better to go with one of the attachments that turn android phones into portable game consoles. We build portables based around the Arduboy but are new to Godot and games development. Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks.

There are mentions of successful use with Steam Deck.
On Android I have successfully coupled my Playstation 5 controller to a Google Pixel. So technically that’s 2 devices, but works well.
