Racing Dash 2D – Solo Game Built in Godot 4.4 | Multi-Platform Release (iOS, Android, PC, Pi)

I have made changes that are now in place in my version at least. All 32 of the moving platform collisions are now disabled on all characterbody2d nodes that are needed which is every last one in my game.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Racing Dash 2D will be updated across all platforms within the next 24 hours. I will announce when the full rollout is completed.

Keeping my fingers crossed especially for this to pass apple’s review process. itch is now up to date and soon will be Google Play to select testers, Amazon & Apple for the rest of us.

I can proudly say I have been blessed by Apple once again and the update is confirmed to be live everywhere now.

Here are the patch notes listed below:

Hey guys just a quick update. I swear no more for this week and probably for awhile.

So I’m going to cut to the chase here. This is another minor update nothing in the game was updated but the SDK’s that I use for various platforms had updates and I quickly validated them so I could confirm nothing broke which nothing did. The next minor updates for Amazon, Google, and Apple should be out in the next 24 hours, the new binaries are live on itch as always.

Hey guys just incase if anyone decides to get the new executables for Racing Dash 2D and run it through Virus Total, there is one false positive & I can presume that it’s due to a lack of other exe files with the Godot 4.5 build structure being out there in the wild. So I guess that’s one of the things I get for being a bit ahead of the curve. I can assure however that the files are not malicious.

See you on the track!

I’ve got the error “is the pck is missing?” my system specs:
OS: Linux
Processor: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 8GB
Graphics: Intel - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 (IVB GT2)

Is the executable file in the same folder as the RacingDash2D.pck and named exactly like the executable file?

If you have more details or if you want to try downloading again let me know.

I was trying to play in the browser and throw this window message.

Interesting, I couldn’t replicate the issue on Google Chrome Version 141.0.7390.108 (Official Build) (64-bit). I’m speculating a possible browser issue. If you don’t mind sharing what browser you use it might help.

VIvaldi based on chrome for linux.

Have you experienced this issue with any other Godot games on itch? If you have this might be an issue with how the browser loads content. It should’ve loaded fine from itch’s CDN.

Yes I have experienced that in Windows OS games when I try to run but on native OS works fine.

I exported two projects mine: one for Windows OS and one for Linux. Linux works fine but windows don’t work, say the same message.

Everything cleared the last time I made builds for this game so I’m wondering if it’s an environment issue or something. This is stumping me since I can’t replicate the issue.

I’m using Brave on Linux and the game runs fine through Itch. Nice job. Are you going to add drifting?

Drifting is something that I would like to attempt in the future. No promises on it coming to the game as a mechanic right now, but I will definitely try and experiment with that once I get my life well more stable.
