Save and Load Players position and current scene

Question

I tried different ways and I couldn't figure out how to get it working, so I thought I'd ask how you would go about saving only the player nodes position in the scene and the current scene it's in at the moment of saving.

Have you read through the tutorial for serialization, saving, and reading the game state?

Yes. I also followed multiple tutorials, but I couldn’t get it to work , and I tried to ask here for help with what I had but also couldn’t get it to work, so I want to start from scratch
