Shapecast issues

Godot 4-4.2 dont know exactly


I have a shapecast that only collides with areas and has a collision mask on layer 2. But for some reason despite that it still returns it still gets a collider whether or not its on the right layer or its an area

forgot to say anything but the actual question is how do I get the shapecast to only collide with AREAS from its collision mask

That shape cast should work as you describe, can you show a area it’s colliding with and it’s layers?

thats the strange part, Its not just colliding with an area its also colliding with bodies


however its only supposed to collide with this

the only other colliders are layer 1 or layer 3 areas and bodies
