Cool game , all aspects feels great from music , simple gameplay, artworks suits to theme .
Maybe turn in landscape only be an improvement as it looks a bit strange stretch on portrait mode .
Thats a good idea with the landscape mode. I will do it with the next export/ update.

another 2 weeks have passed and I worked on new abilities, some graphical improvements and a little bit balancing.
I’m changing the game’s name from Alien Defender to Alien Dieout. The original name is a bit too common on itch.io, and I wanted to give the game a more unique identity.

The game looks awesome but a error pops up in web build saying .pck is missing.
and also is it me or it’s a real big game

Then my bad,my GPU doesn’t support vulkan.
I don’t think mine does either, but the game runs (Windows).
I’m on a laptop right now, but I’ll test later on my actual PC (Linux).
Im on Windows 10 and so far there’s no problems. I just suck at the game
Its a little bit too challenging in the current state. I will polish it the next days and maybe you can give it another try
very cool, and the graphics are amazing. If you want to keep the game in html, then yous should keep the game screen at a normal resolution and enabled the button “full screen”, but the viewport was too big for my laptop, and I couldn’t zoom out. I suffered some lag with the bullets and the eggs, or maybe it was an impression. Also, the animation of reload doesn’t fit when you can really open fire again. Otherwise, I had fun and though it could be cool to have features like jumping or send projectiles back.
I’ll try your next release.

Yeah, guess I need to fix the reload timeout . Its a little bit too hard.. What would be a good option for the screen resolution?
I would like to keep the game as a browser, that actually should not take the whole screen.
if your players are using laptop, then target a 16:9 resolution and try some of them until find the right one ^^ For your animation issue, maybe you can emit a signal when the animation is over, enabling the ability to open fire.

its been another 2 weeks and I made some changes..
I will upload a new version in 1-2 days.. then I will fix the resolution issue.
After this update , I will add some new abilities, new bosses, a small story and the final boss
Thanks to the clean controls + readable gameplay at a small size, this game would go crazy on mobile for sure. Perhaps consider an Android release?
