yeah I need someone to design me characters of anime, so its gonna be a sprite heavy game, so I need every form of Goku and Naruto and others
i would wanna include x from to be Hero x which has 2 forms
im gonna make the basic training or default stage

animation is extra depending on complexity, but it’s apparently pretty affordable

LMAO, that’s what i get for replying to postings when sleep-deprived. just a heads up, you may need to look on specific forums for volunteers!
also, as someone who’s made multiple games & is in uni for this, i’ll say- try to drop the idea of needing all your assets done before you start other work on the game. having your central gameplay components (attacks, movement, upgrades as you say you’re making a metroidvania, maps, et cetera) in place before you work on final assets is what i’d recommend- or working on assets in tandem with the programming. you’re going to end up needing more/less/something completely different from what you’ve planned, especially as this seems to be your first game.
there are also a lot of resources you can use for placeholders on this forum and others! (i also have a set of files made for a 2d fighting game i can send on for placeholders if you need).
that said, while i can’t afford to do much for free rn (gotta eat unfortunately) i’d be down to give pointers/critique as needed! i can also help you work on your pixel art, because that’s one of my specialties in design and asset creation. it’s really fun, and i’d recommend learning to do it on your own!
